I · The noise

The algorithm flattened taste.

Taste once had room to grow in pockets. It was shaped by what you loved, what suited you, and what happened to be within reach: a local shop, a neighbourhood, a scene. There was beauty in those limits. Different things could flourish in different places.

Now the same feeds carry the same influences everywhere. Cities dress alike. Cafés blur into one another. On platforms built to sell our attention, everything reaches us, all at once. We’re overwhelmed by choice, yet surrounded by sameness. And somewhere in that abundance, having an opinion begins to feel like another demand.

René Girard · Mimetic desire

When everyone watches the same feed, taste converges. Individuality grows behind walls.

II · The garden

A walled garden for what moves you.

Cura is a private place to capture, organize and cultivate your taste: the hole-in-the-wall restaurant you stumbled upon, the book that changed how you see things, the idea you’re still turning over. Gathered from anywhere and tended over time, these discoveries become a living collection that is distinctly yours.

You decide who and what comes through the gate.

III · The root

cūra

Latin for care: attention, oversight, the thing you've taken responsibility for. Nearly every English word about taking care of something well grows from it.

IV · Becoming

What you tend, tends you.

Taste, tended over time, shapes who you become. Your collection becomes a mirror of an evolving self.
